I’m going to read 100 books in 2026

Well, I’ll certainly try!

Like everyone else, I’ve made a list of resolutions in preparation for the new year. Reading more often is, of course, towards the top of my list. Reading 100 books is certainly an ambitious goal based on my previous reading numbers (which I don’t know exactly but could take a stab at).

Anyway, the point isn’t to read 100 books just to say I did it. If I don’t reach 100, and I likely won’t, I will not be terribly disappointed. Rather, the goal is to spend less time scrolling on my phone and more time engaging with literature. I’ll certainly learn more, think more, and enjoy myself more!

My secondary goal in this endeavor is to document my progress here on the blog. I’ll aim to write brief reviews for each book I read.

I bought a copy of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale in Penn Station today. It’s been on my list for a while, and I’m really enjoying it so far!
